Everything you need to know about signing up and logging in for new and returning students.

Creating an Account


Though it is not required to browse the course offerings, you must create an account on this website to register for courses. During checkout, you will be asked to create a new account or log into your current account. Here are the steps:

I am a new student - Create an Account

  • Select this option if this is your first time enrolling in a class with the Division of Continuing & International Education using this system.
  • Enter your email under the "Create an Account" box and click "Create Account".
  • Complete the required profile information, and continue to check out. If you create an account without enrollment, you will be redirected to the student portal.
    • Please note: After a successful enrollment, this account will be converted into a University account. You will receive an additional email with your new University ID, called CaneID. Please follow the steps on that email to activate your account and set a password.

Existing students


I have an account already.

  • Select this option if you created an account using your email and have not completed an enrollment. You can select to retrieve your username or password if you don't remember. 
    • Please note: Once you complete a successful enrollment, this account will be converted into a University account, and you will no longer be able to log in with your email. You will receive an additional email with your new University ID, called CaneID. Please follow the steps in that email to activate your account and set a password.

I have a CaneID.

  • Select this option if the following applies:
    • You have successfully completed an enrollment in this system.
    • You have already received an email with your University account, a CaneID. Please follow the instructions in that email to create a password before attempting to log in here.

Note: If you are a University employee or alumni with an active CaneID and password, your CaneID will not be active in this system until an enrollment is completed.

Update your contact information.


Your contact information can be updated anytime under My Profile by accessing your student portal.
