Do I have to be a member to enroll in an Osher Lifelong Learning Course?
Yes, you must pay a yearly membership fee in order to enroll in OLLI classes. The membership fee for the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at UM is not refundable.
How many courses can I take at one time?
You can take as many courses as your schedule permits. There is no limit to the number of courses.
Can I park my car on campus? How do I get to OLLI?
Parking on the University of Miami campus in UM lots is extremely limited. All vehicle owners parking on the University of Miami campus must be assigned a UM parking permit for the GRAY ZONE, purchase parking using the Pay by Phone App on their iPhone or Android device, or purchase parking at the pay station(s) located on UM lots.
OLLI members may purchase a discounted GRAY ZONE parking permit from UM Parking and Transportation Services located at 5807 Ponce de Leon Blvd., McKnight Building, Suite 100, Coral Gables. There is a cost for the full year, and prices are prorated weekly. The OLLI parking permit allows you to park in the Gray Zone lots around Lau Founders Hall and any other nearby lots where signs specify the Gray Zone.
Our campus has a Metrorail stop which makes for a convenient visit. From the University Metrorail stop, you are able to get a shuttle or MetroBus to get you close to Lau Founders Hall offices. From the Metrorail stop, take bus 56 south and exit at San Amaro Dr. It’s a 3 minute walk to our offices.

Can a couple share one membership?
Each individual must pay for their own class and membership fee. Memberships cannot be shared.
Is there a lost and found area available for OLLI members?
OLLI at UM keeps a lost and found shelf in the OLLI cafe/lounge or at the OLLI reception desk. Property is held for 3 months, after which time it will be given to UM Central lost and found at the UC or donated to charity.
When is Registration?
Online registration normally opens 1-3 weeks before classes start. Assisted phone registration opens the week before classes begin.

How can I pay online?
You can navigate around our programs using our top menu or visit our search page. Once you've found the course you'd like to enroll in, determine which section you want to sign up for by comparing the dates and times. Click on the Add to Cart button on the desired section to initiate the checkout process. You will be asked if you are are ready to finish the checkout process, or continue browsing. If you are ready to continue with the checkout process, you will be asked to log in, or create a new account. If you are not sure which option to select, see our Account Management page for details.
How do I know if I got into the class?
The classes are on a first-come, first-serve basis. You will receive a confirmation email once you complete the checkout process and submit your online payment.
What is the OLLI at UM Accommodations Policy?
OLLI at UM provides reasonable accommodations in its programs in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990. To request disability accommodations, please contact the OLLI at UM office at 305-284-6554 as soon as you register and at least two weeks before classes begin. OLLI at UM has portable assistive-listening devices that enhance your ability to hear the instructors using the microphone in Room 102 of Founders Hall.
How can I apply for the OLLI Scholarship for OLLI Courses?
Due to the generosity of our member donors, a limited number of partial scholarships for OLLI at UM classes are available. These scholarships are applicable to courses offered by the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at the University of Miami only. Each scholarship covers 50% of course tuition. Scholarships are not applicable for OLLI membership fees, OLLI field trips/social activities fees, or auditing fees. Awards are based on financial need. Please contact the OLLI Director for more information at (305) 284-6554 or osher@miami.edu. Applications for partial scholarships are reviewed on an ongoing basis and are valid for one session. The information on the application is kept confidential and awards will not be publicly announced. To request a scholarship, print, complete, and return the Scholarship Request Form to the OLLI office.
What happens if I do not like the class I registered for?
If an individual attends a class on the first week of the session and does not enjoy it, they may request a refund. All refunds and drop/adds must be submitted via email to osher@miami.edu no later than Friday of the first week of class.
