Course Description

This experiential course explores photography as a tool for creative expression, storytelling, and personal discovery. Students will learn to see beyond the obvious, develop a stronger visual voice, and create meaningful images using either a camera or smartphone. Through guided exercises, image sharing, and gentle critique, participants will explore composition, light, symbolism, and intuitive seeing. No prior technical experience is required just curiosity and a desire to explore creativity.

Week 1 Introduction to seeing differently: photography as awareness, observation, and storytelling.

Week 2: Light, shadow, and composition learning to shape emotion through visual elements.

Week 3: Finding meaning in everyday scenes: textures, patterns, and hidden faces in nature.

Week 4: Creating intentional images: shooting with purpose and personal themes.

Week 5: Creating intentional images: shooting with purpose and personal themes.

Week 6: Group showcase and reflection: sharing work, stories, and creative growth.
